How your sauna comes together
Four steps from the first phone call to the first evening on the benches. You always know what happens next and who is coming.
Site visit
We come to the plot, look at the ground, the access for a delivery truck and where the chimney and the view should point. You get a written, fixed quote within a week.
Foundation and permits
Screw piles or concrete blocks, depending on the ground. If your municipality needs a permit or a notice, we prepare the drawings and help with the application.
Build and install
Wall elements are made in our Tampere workshop and put together on site, usually in two to four days. A registered electrical contractor connects lights and heaters.
First heating
We light the first fire with you, check the draught and show how to air and dry the sauna after use, so the wood stays healthy for decades.
Wood-burning or electric?
Both make proper löyly. The right choice depends on how often you heat the sauna, what power you have on the plot and whether you enjoy carrying firewood.
Wood-burning stove
- The crackle, the smell of birch and the soft, deep steam many Finns grew up with.
- Heats in about 45 to 60 minutes and needs a chimney and a dry place for firewood.
- Works without mains power, which suits summer cottages and lake plots.
Electric heater
- Ready in about 30 to 45 minutes, with a timer and no ash to carry.
- A steady temperature that is easy to repeat several evenings a week.
- Needs a three-phase connection sized for the heater, fitted by an electrician.

Built from Finnish wood
A sauna lives through hundreds of hot and cold cycles a year. These are the materials we trust to handle it.
Spruce outside and in
The frame and cladding are Finnish spruce. Inside, tight-knot spruce panels take the heat and the moisture without cracking.
Aspen and alder benches
Bench boards are aspen or alder, which stay comfortable to sit on at full heat and do not bleed resin.
Insulation that works
100 mm of mineral wool and a foil vapour barrier keep the heat in the room and the moisture out of the walls.
Questions we hear on site visits
Do I need a building permit for a garden sauna?
It depends on the size of the building and on your municipality’s building rules. We check this during the site visit and, if a permit or a notice is needed, we prepare the drawings for the application.
How long does it take from order to the first löyly?
Most garden saunas are installed six to ten weeks after the order, depending on the season and the foundation work. Your quote shows a planned installation week.
Do you work outside Tampere?
Yes. We install across Pirkanmaa, including Nokia, Kangasala, Pirkkala, Lempäälä, Ylöjärvi and Valkeakoski. For sites further away, ask us and we will quote the travel separately.
